Vom 19.02. bis 22.02. 2020 unternahmen 23 Schüler*innen der 6. bis 8. Klassen der Botschafterschule des Europäischen Parlaments, des GRG 21 Ödenburger Straße, gemeinsam mit Prof. Elisabeth Dittrich und Prof. Paul Zmatlik eine Studienreise nach Brüssel, Amsterdam und Den Haag!
Im Europäischen Parlament in Brüssel begrüßte uns am 19.02. der Europaabgeordnete Lukas Mandl; es folgte eine kurze Stadtführung durch Brüssel (Grand Place, Manneken Pis) und am Abend ging es mit dem Flixbus nach Amsterdam.
Der 20.02. war der Stadt Den Haag und dem Besuch des Internationalen Gerichtshofs gewidmet, mit Führung, Vortrag und anschließender Diskussion in englischer Sprache, gefolgt von einem Spaziergang durch die Innenstadt zum Königlichen Palast.
Am 21.02. stand, diesmal bei schönem Wetter, eine Grachtenfahrt auf dem Programm, gefolgt von einem Besuch des Anne-Frank-Hauses, der bei den Schülern sicherlich einen bleibenden, tiefen Eindruck hinterlassen hat.
Der Nachmittag gehörte dann dem Rijksmuseum, u.a. mit der berühmten „Nachtwache“ und dem „Milchmädchen“. Am 22.02. ging es mit dem Bus zurück nach Brüssel, zum Atomium und einem kurzen Stadtrundgang, bevor die endgültige Heimreise nach Wien angetreten wurde.

From 19.02.-22.02. 2020, 23 students from the 6th-8th grades of the European Parliament’s Ambassador School, the GRG 21 Ödenburger Straße, together with Prof. Elisabeth Dittrich and Prof. Paul Zmatlik, undertook a study trip to Brussels, Amsterdam and Den Hague!
In the European Parliament in Brussels, MEP Lukas Mandl welcomed us on 19.02. the House of European History was also very impressed; This was followed by a short tour of Brussels (Grand Place, Manneken Pis) and in the evening the Flixbus to Amsterdam.
The 20.02. was dedicated to the city of Den Hague and the visit of the International Court of Justice, with a guided tour, lecture and subsequent discussion in English, followed by a walk through the city centre to the Royal Palace.
On 21.02., this time in good weather, a canal tour was on the program, followed by a visit to the Anne Frank House, which certainly gave the students a lasting, deep impression.
The afternoon then belonged to the Rijksmuseum, among others with the famous “Night Watch” and the “Milk Girl”. On 22.02 we went by bus back to Brussels, to the Atomium and a short city walk, before the final journey home to Vienna.
