We met on Saturday early in the morning to go to Altenmarkt. The bus ride took us five hours with a 45-minute break. In the afternoon we arrived at the hotel and checked in. The hotel had a gym, a pretty outdoor football field and a cool climbing frame. First, we rented our skiing equipment at Intersport. In the evening, we went for a long night walk.

On Sunday the teachers woke us up at 7 o’clock. After breakfast we got dressed for skiing, and a bus drove us to the skiing area in Altenmarkt/Radstadt. We were divided into groups based on our skiing skills and skied until lunch. In the afternoon we returned to the slopes, and in the evening we did a QR rally (an interactive treasure hunt) about the skiing rules.

On Monday we went to another skiing resort: Zauchensee. The view was beautiful, and skiing was really fun, even though we sometimes fell. Every day before bedtime we had a room inspection and a little extra challenge: if we did well and could answer the “question of the day“, we could get a maximum of eleven points.

On Tuesday after dinner, we went swimming in a thermal bath with three water slides; that was really nice. On Wednesday after skiing we went shopping and bought some snacks and souvenirs. Thursday was our last day of skiing, and in the evening, there was a show night where every group had to perform. The performances were amazing! Afterwards, there was a disco, and we stayed up late.

On Friday the teachers woke us up early. Then we loaded our bags into the coach and drove back home. The whole trip was amazing, and we will never forget it!
